Here is how the MCES system works:

MCES receives a request from one of our clients. Law firms (both plaintiff and defense), insurance companies, etc.

MCES contacts the client and collect all medical records, X-rays, etc.

MCES receives compensation form the firm and the records.

MCES staff interviews the patient by phone and medical directors review the records, organize, highlight and summarize them.  The current history as obtained from the patient is included.

MCES in consultation with the client , develops a comprehensive list of questions and specific physical measurements to be included in the examination.  A physical examination guide form is prepared. This assures all necessary data is collected and organized.

MCES prepares a typed summary to be forwarded to the examining physician with the records.  Preliminary fee is paid to the examiner physician.

MCES schedules the examination with the examining physician.  Examiners are requested to see patients when scheduled and allow sufficient time (generally 30 minutes) for the examination.  Patients are expected to be prompt.  Cancellations and rescheduling should be rare and will be compensated.

The Examiner interviews the patient and reviews the summary and records adding or correcting information as required.

The Examiner examines the patient with specific emphasis on the questions of the client and the items for review from medical director.  This helps organize the data and prevents omissions.

The Examiner completes the physical examination form and answers the questionaire.  No dictation is required.

The Examiner returns all records and documents to MCES.  This makes MCES the custodian of the records and all inquiries for records may be referred to MCES.

MCES prepares a written report encompassing all the data collected and answers provided by the examiner.

MCES forwards the report to the examining physician for review and signature.  The medical director is always available for consultation.  Examiner returns report and any remaining documents to MCES. Final fee is paid to the examiner.

FEES:

While fees vary according to complexity of the cases, our average examiner's fees are $600-800 for exams.  $1000 for depositions.  Remember MCES provides all review, summary and transcription services and you are paid in advance.
